Hello old members, new people, and old members that had wandered away during the summer! Welcome and for most, Welcome Back.
Just a reminder that The Guild will be meeting in the usual place and time.
The place: College of Health and Human Services, room 285
The time: begins at 3pm and goes on until 11pm
Official 5:30 meetings will also be back in session, so be sure to stick around for that. We'll be discussing games currently running and what will be running soon.

Welcome new members! We are the UNCC Science Fiction and Fantasy Guild! We're a group of gamers, geeks, fanboys(and girls), and idealists that get together every Friday for gaming and discussions of science fiction and fantasy. It doesn't matter what you're a fan of we've got you covered.
Upcoming events
Week of Welcome Club Expo: This takes place the first week of classes and is a great way to recruit new members. The Guild as always will have a table and will be on hand to meet new students.
Guild Game Day: This is going on October 2nd in the Afterhours lounge in the Cone Building. This year we're hosting a charity event for Charlotte Mecklenburg Libraries. We'll have a open gaming, free food, a raffle, and several prize supported tournaments such as Magic the Gathering, Heroclix, and Warhammer! |

Last Friday, the potluck and election went smoothly. Thanks to all that came out and participated!

Here at The Guild we are gearing up for another great year. Summer is almost over and folks are returning to game some more! As for those of us that haven't left, we're still gaming. Allright!
In addition to gearing up for the eventual Week of Welcome and other events, there's housekeeping afoot. How about an update of the current games running? Sounds great! Will the officers catch a break from fighting off dragons to give the Webmaster a teensy weensy bio for the site? Sound even better!

A reminder, you have until Friday, April 16th to look over and suggest any suggestions to the Guild Constitution. You can download it in PDF format here.
Elections for Guild Officers and Potluck Dinner will be held April 30th, 2010, at 5:30pm. It'll be held at the usual: room 285 in the CHHS building. Remember, current members can vote. If you have paid your dues for the semester or year, this is you. Come in, bring a tasty dish with you, and vote! |
